Major renovation of a high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya embankment.

The high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya embankment is awaiting major renovation. The subcontract for the preparation of design estimates was received by the Academician Polyansky MAKhPI on March 22, 2015.
The building, designed by architect D.N. Chechulin, is a typical example of post-war Stalinist architecture in Moscow. The very first nine-story building A was built back in the 30s. for NKVD workers. Buildings B and C were built in 1947-52. and were settled by representatives of the Soviet social elite. In addition to the housing stock, the complex includes the Illusion cinema, garages, a post office, shops, and cafes.
Over the years of operation, the building has never undergone major repairs; many structures are in disrepair. In the garages, the floors are wooden; the roof serves as a stylobate for the area with children's sports facilities. The high-rise building, consisting of buildings A, B, B, VK and garage premises, is an architectural monument of regional significance and, in addition to repairs, requires restoration.
The project assignment provides for bringing utility networks to current standards, preparing projects for internal dispatch and management of utility systems, measures for access of people with limited mobility, environmental protection, and others.
