Alexander Bastrykin opened a new committee building in Tekhnicheskiy Lane.
The architectural appearance of the new SKR was drawn by the Moscow Architectural and Art Design Institute (MAKhPI) named after Academician Polyansky JSC. According to the project portfolio, the walls are faced with natural granite, and the building itself is connected by a passage to the old building. Inside there are offices, a cultural center, and a sports complex. On the ground floor of the building there is a “two-height lobby” that acts as a foyer for a 738-seat auditorium with a film projection room and other functional spaces. In addition, there is a meeting room and a swimming pool on the ground floor, and a dining room with a VIP room and a bar on the second floor.
On the underground levels there is a parking lot for 200 cars with a car wash and car inspection area, a shooting range and a “civil defense protective structure.” The upper, 18th, floor will be occupied by the “block of the chairman of the Investigative Committee.”
