The federal cultural heritage site “Glebov-Streshnev Estate on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street” was restored using funds from the Moscow Targeted Investment Program.
The main building of the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky was restored and adapted for modern use. The historical appearance of the monument has been completely preserved. A special feature of the restoration project was the return to the building of the lost metal roof with turrets and lace, thanks to which the theater became like a fairy-tale tower. The stage and auditorium were equipped with modern light, sound and technological equipment, which made it possible to bring to life the most daring creative ideas of the directors. The theater now has rehearsal rooms and storage facilities for scenery and props.
In the neighboring theater building on Maly Kislovsky Lane there is a small theater stage with a hall for 130 seats and a separate entrance, as well as a buffet, foyer, rehearsal rooms, artistic and storage rooms.
