MAJOR REPAIR OF THE TASS BUILDING

The TASS complex occupies several buildings along Tverskoy Boulevard. One of them, the building of the “Board of the Nizhny Novgorod-Samara Land Bank”, was built in 1889 according to the design of the architect K.M. Bykovsky, and then it was completed several times: in 1909 by architect I.I. Rerberg, in 1929 and 1938 by architects N. Vishnevsky and V. Vorobyov. Today, this building is considered a historically valuable city-forming object of the city of Moscow (minutes of the meeting of the expert commission on real estate heritage sites and their territories dated April 16, 2003 No. 24).
The building overhaul project, developed by Academician Polyansky MAKhPI, provided for the modernization of the internal space, taking into account the needs and functional structure of the news agency. The development of a major overhaul project was preceded by a comprehensive technical examination of the condition of building structures, building foundations and the technical condition of engineering systems.
