The spatial and planning solution for a first-level children's and adult clinic for 750 visits per shift with an antenatal clinic is dictated by the requirements of the Russian regulatory framework, safety requirements and functional feasibility.
In plan, the building is a complex of two parallel buildings. One of them has a height of 5 floors and accommodates a children's unit, and the second, which has 6 floors, is an adult outpatient department. Between the two main buildings there is a connecting 3-storey block located perpendicularly, in which there are general purpose units and an isolated antenatal clinic for 96 visits per shift.
According to a set of medical-technological and sanitary-hygienic standards, three main divisions: adults, children's and antenatal clinics are maximally isolated from each other. Each of them has separate entrances to the building and independent lobby groups. The two main buildings have their own staircase and elevator units.
To optimize planning solutions and create the most expressive appearance, the three-part volumetric-spatial solution is supplemented with a number of elements that enrich the volumetric-spatial solution and facades of the complex. The upper floors of the side buildings cantilever outwards. This solution emphasizes the centricity of the overall composition and makes it possible to allocate functionally necessary rooms of greater depth at these levels.
Communication blocks are also highlighted in the structure of the complex. The technical rooms of the main staircase and elevator blocks are raised to the roof level and designed as high-rise accents. The elevator shafts of the side buildings are designed as powerful pylons, vertically cutting through the plane of the facades.
Particular attention in the project was paid to the design of the central block. It is divided into two parts: the lower 3-story and the upper lintel, raised above it to a height of more than 5 meters, and occupied by the technical floor. On the main facade, the “hanging” floor and the lower block form a single composition, the center of which is a huge round stained glass window located along the axis of the entire complex above the entrance to the antenatal clinic.
All plastically expressive elements of the building are further emphasized using color and various façade cladding materials. The proposed facade structures (ventilated system with suspended cladding made of facade tiles) allow you to combine materials of different textures and shades in decoration.
Also, the solution of the facades is enriched with different dimensions of windows and stained-glass windows with colored profiles.
Architectural, urban planning and planning solutions for the first-level children's and adult clinic for 750 visits per shift with a antenatal clinic meet all the requirements for such facilities and represent a harmonious combination of the most modern methods of designing healthcare facilities.
