The first cinema in the USSR showing sound films will finally be restored. Specialists will tidy up the facades and interiors, and also equip the cinema with modern equipment for film screenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specialists will restore the function of opening the dome above the hall, thanks to which spectators will be able to see the sky, as intended in the Soviet years by the architect Boris Iofan. Restorers will provide for opening blocked openings on the fa\u00e7ade and will preserve the domed ceilings on the ground floor of the cinema. In addition, they will restore the terrazite plaster of the main facades, metal balcony railings, and restore the plaster finishing of the courtyard facade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
